The 2nd Oracle Exam 'Fundamentals I' replaces the 8i 'Architecture and Administration' exam. Just like the 8i exam questions do include some content from Performace Tuning and of course administrative SQL.
The new content for 9i is minimal, just the OMF stuff really.
The exam spooked me a bit. There were a LOT of 'select 3 answers from the following 6' type of questions. I counted a total of 24 of this type of questions.
Also you get DUMMY questions. These are not just standard questions but totally impossible to answer, when you combined with 'select the best 3', it becomes a little unnerving.
In the end I got 80% for part 1 and 76% for part 2. I was really happy because I failed the 8i Arch & Admin twice.
I have the 9i Fundamentals II book, but have not yet started to prepare. I may do the performance tuning exam instead.
HTH, I'll be happy to answer any questions you have.

Sumit,
No I haven't so I couldn't comment. However you might be interested to here that 9i OCP requirements have changed (if you are a 'new' candidate)
"The OCP Oracle9i DBA track requires four tests: two required tests for OCA certification plus two additional tests. Oracle now also requires (as of June 15, 2002) that all newly starting OCP credential candidates complete one hands-on course with Oracle University in preparation for their exams and future role as an Oracle technologist. Thx for the information Simon. I took 9i DB Fundamentals - I , yesterday and got a comprehensive score. It was a real test, I appreciate the oracle test developers' efforts.
