UML 486
Web Sphere Application Developer 157
For UML Of course I am gonna prepare from IBM's Recommended books but what about 157 how to start prepration for 157 ? How much time it takes ? Can we pass this with out hands on experince on WebSphere as you know its most painful part to download it
Any recommended books or some tutorials

Test 157 is for WSAD and not for websphere. WSAD is an IDE for developing application to be deployed on Websphere Application server.
I am also looking for resources for preparing for JCert Solutions developer which needs to clear 2 exams, SCJP and Test 157. I am already SCJP. Any suggestions for preparing for this ???

You can download WSAD 4.03 or 5.0 (WebSphere) from IBM site. However the install will only work for 30 days. I think 30 days enough for the test.
There are bunch of Redbooks you can download from IBM sites. One of the Red book has step by step application building samples. I found out that this was most useful in passing 157. I worked on each perspective and developed several small/sample Java and Jsp projects.
I would recommend against taking this test as IBM might retire as WASD 5.0 is already out to market.
my 2 cents
