Hi guys,
I passed the exam with a score of 85%. It wasn't that hard. Maybe because I had j2ee development experience. I just need one more exam to write.
Good luck on other takers!!!

Please,
Give us more information about this exam.
What are the most important topics.
What about Servlets and JSP?
I'll go for this exam next month.
Thank you!

Today, I also passed this IBM 483 Exam with quite good score, 84%.
The exam was tough, my full preparation was about 1 week, I tried EConnect@Whiz Trial version, and it's quite helpful, my suggestion is download its full version and read the tips
( you don't need to pay for it ) ..
I have J2EE experiences, and also have SCWCD certification, maybe it helped me in this exam, but the fact I get very low percentage for web questions (only 70%, and my SCWCD was 91%), maybe I don't prepare it well and really under-estimated it.
My Suggestion / Tips :
1. Learn a lot EJB stuff, especially its life-cycle, exception, transaction and security handling (especially with its deployment descriptor).
2. Learn also GoF patterns, in fact I found
more questions about GoF patterns but how
to apply it into J2EE.
Also you have to really know the concept of Value Object.
3. Some tough RMI questions, and having good
understanding about passing parameter and remote object concept really help.
4. I found really some silly questions, which ask you to choose all answers instead of just
2 or 3 answers.
I think these questions are bonus ...
5. Quite a lot questions which provide some right anwers, but you have to pick the BEST answer.. which really..really confusing and my opinion is you need experience to answer this.
Time is adequate, but at the end, I had
only around 10 minutes to review my answers.
Oh by the way, I have question, how can
I change my address in order to receive
the certificate ? I could not find it
in IBM site.. I think for this, Sun is
more professional...
