Hi, I think SUN and IBM certificates does not help to get a job. I have intention to get a .NET certificate. I am wondering which one is the best .NET cert: C#.NET, VB.NET, VC.NET, ASP.NET? I believe C# is the closest to Java so its easier to get. But which one is the most helpful to bite into the market?
I'd have to disagree with your assertion that the Sun and IBM certificates don't help you get a job - they certainly helped with my job hunt. But that's also different for every person, and depends on which certs you have and what kind of position you're looking for (ie, IBM's WebSphere certification isn't really going to help if you're trying to get a job with a company that uses Macromedia's JRun). The same, frankly, goes for the .Net certifications - it all depends on what kind of job you're looking for.

For Dot Net Certification you have to complete whole track to be MCAD which can be done by either only completing through giving three exams 1- C# Windows Programming 2- C# Web Programming 3- C# and XML,Web Services and Serviced Components Or you can do these three paper with VB.NET check www.microsoft.com/mcad
I have done MCSD certification for VB6.0 & SQL7.0 Can anyone please tell me which is the fastest and easiest way to upgrade it to dotnet? Has Microsoft launched any special papaers like they did for upgrading MCSE WIN NT4 to WIN 2K? Also since I am currenly working on Java for last 1.5 yrs, I think it will be easier to opt for C# stream. Please correct me if I am wrong.

There are no special papers for upgrading you have to go through normal MCAD outline because all papers are new but Microsoft will launch upgrade papers soon for Managed C++ as its also part of .NET Family
