I installed the Websphere application server in mu Linux machine. The installation was successful. After that, I tried to install DB2 Personal Edition becasue the Websphere application server needs it. The installation looks OK. However, it can not run fisrt step of the db2.
First time, it failed:
>./db2fs
>./db2fs: db2javit: command not found.
I looked at the db2fs script and found that it tried to run db2javit. so I changed it to run ./db2javit
>./db2fs
>DB2JAVIT: RC = 9501
>DB2INSTANCE : -2029059916

I post this question here because I need to install DB2 for Websphere Application server. It may be not the right place.
Does any body knows the solution or which forum or discussion group that I can post the question ?

Thanks,
John Chien

comp.databases.ibm-db2
and there is some discussion on this topic saying basicly that you need to be logged properly to have access to some db2 administrative tools.
