it took around 3 months constant fulltime (allday everyday) study to obtain the certification
I used master oracle 8i&9i and oracle 9i complete reference also the official oracle certification exam study books recommended by Oracle

BEA 8.1 Certified Administrator, IBM Certified Solution Developer For XML 1.1 and Related Technologies, SCJP, SCWCD, SCBCD, SCDJWS, SCJD, SCEA,
Oracle Certified Master Java EE 5 Enterprise Architect
