I have cleared both IBM tests 483 and 486. My question is, do we get a certificate like the SUN's Certificate for SCJP after claering these test? I only have my Score sheet.

Sadly no.
You have to complete one more exam for Enterprise Developer Certification (look up www.jcert.org). Or one more vendor specific exam for Solution Developer Certification.
All this assuming you are SCJP2 already. For Solution Developer SCJP2 is not mandatory. CIW Web Developer also would do.
Best wishes.

I think the certification path you are following is to be retired/withdrawn by IBM on Sept 30. The new one for Websphere 5.O Ent. Developer required Test 484.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
