Which of the above certifcations has the better recognition in the OOAD arena?

Hi Gadzirai,
I think it is not easy to compare. Of course, if you focus on OOAD only, Rational or even OMG's UML certs take the advantages on the design aspect, becos they focus on how UML can model large enterprise systems.
However, when you consider the practical issues, like how to really "port" the OO design into the real things, IBM seems get the advantages as it focus on how IBM products and applications can turn the OO design into real enterprise systems.
Personally, I prefer OMG's UML certs for UML parts.
Nick.
