IBM 486 Sample test

Hi! I am new to this forum. I planning to give IBM 486 UML. I wanted to know about sample test. What is this test for? is this optional? Do we have to take this test from home?
I appreciate all the help I get from this forum.

What is this test for?

The questions in the test look similar to the real questions in the exam. So, it gives you a feeling on how difficult the real exam is.

is this optional?

YES.

Do we have to take this test from home?

The test is taken online. Thus, you can take it anywhere. However, for each intake, you need to pay Prometric 10 USD.
You can take the test from:

And you need to create your own account.

Hi Nicholas:

As you know, IBM requires us to pay for the sample test. Also it's not very practical to do the test at the beginning of exam preparation time. I wonder if you or somebody (who has the sample test) can post the exam sample test for the new candidates who are preparing for the exam 486. Somebody has posted sample exam 287, 285 and I found it vey helpful for the preparation of the exam. Thanks.

I understand your concern, however, it may not as simple as what 285, 287 and 484 did.

As there are lots of diagrams in ICE test, and thus, just posting the questions without the diagrams maybe meaningless.

As 486 is my first ICE test, I did not realize to make a copy, and thus, I dont have the copy.
