IBM 484 : how to put this on the CV?

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
This may be stupid question, but still am curious to know the answer.
On the CV, normally people mention SCJP, SCWCD as
Sun Certified Programmer - J2SE 1.4
Sun Certified Web Component Developer - J2EE 1.3
If we pass the IBM 484 exam how do we mention it in the CV, assuming that we have a separate section for technical certifications...
1. Enterprise Connectivity with J2EE V1.3 - Test 484?
2. IBM Certified in J2EE 1.3
3. IBM - Enterprise Connectivity with J2EE V1.3?
or simply
4. IBM - J2EE1.3 exam
We cannot call ourselves as IBM Certified Developer in J2EE as this exam alone doesn't give us any title.

Honestly, I havent put this in my CV, when I just passed this exam. Until I passed all 3 exams (287, 484 and 486), I simply put it as ICED.
But if you wish, I sugguest:

IBM Corporation.
IBM 484: Enterprise Connectivity with J2EE 1.3

do u get a certificate after passing that exam?
or do u have to pass a series of different exam?
i wouldnt put the name of the exam i only would put the name of the certification(either consisting of 1 exam or multiple exams)

NO.

You need to pass IBM 287, 484, 486 together with SCJP to get 1 ICED cert.

I agree. It seems odd if we just put down some titles that does not contain a cert.

I would definitely put it on my CV. I am not quite sure whether it gets you as much mileage as you would get if you were SCEA which is more popular and immediately recognized but if the recruiter happens to know about the value of the exam it would be a definite plus. It does you no harm to put it on CV in my opinion.
The confidence and knowledge you get during the preparation is something that is the bigger motivation.
Good luck,

Vasu

You can always put it as "IBM certified for J2EE"
Did Steve tell you that? Fuh - Steve. Just look at this tiny ad:
