can I take 286 without scjp?if yes,does it mean I can't get a certification until I pass 286+scjp?and if I pass scjp but before the the certification of scjp is sent to me ,can i take the 286?

and if I pass scjp but before the the certification of scjp is sent to me ,can i take the 286?


You can take the test anytime, however, you must obtain all required score report for non-IBM exams, and send them to IBM to get certified.
For example, I passed 287, 484 and 486. However, since IBM dont have any records related to Sun, while ICED needs SCJP. IBM requires me to fax my SCJP score report to them. After then, they send me the cert.
I think this strategy will be the same for other IBM certs that required SCJP.
