Hi all.
I need your help please.
in july 2003 I got SCJP, so my cert will expire within 2 years.
assume at 2006 I want to take a cert like SCDJWS or something else,
what should I do ?
should I upgrade my cert to get a new cert or ask sun to send to me a new cert without an expiration date so I can resume my journy ?

Hi,

Current SUN's expiration policy says that certifications are not expired after 2 years. Once you certified for *certain* *version* of technology - you are certified forever for this *version*.

They can send you certification without expiration date on it, if you request.

regards,
MZ

P.S. correct me if I am wrong.

You cert wont expiry.

You can send a request to SUN, for re-issuing a cert without expiry date.

You're not understanding.

Sun changed their policy for all exams. The expiration date means nothing now.

If you so desire, you can get a new card and certificate that don't have an expiration date on it - all you have to do is contact Sun and they will send you a replacement certificate (and card, I imagine) that doesn't have an expiration date shown.

And... speaking of this, I never got a card, having passed both SCJP and SCWCD in 2001. Any ideas from folks reading this thread if they'd send me one if I asked?
