I m back with anouther doubt in Larman's book (page 528)
in figure 33.16, diagram shows the use of third party API i.e. IBMJavaPOSDevicesFactory & NCRJavaPOSDevicesFactory. these calsses may be provided by third party so we cant touch it, we have to use them as it is. but here in design it is shown that it extends JavaPOSDevicesFactory which must be our own class. how it is possble? M I trying to understand it wrong? moreover these two classes(provided by third party) has two method newCashDrawer() & getNewCoinDispenser().. normally you wont get the same method names provided by different parties. so it will be hard to provide a factory design pattern. Has Larman just given this example to make us understand?
