I've passed test 286, but I'm not sure if test 286 is the only requirement for ICSD?

In IBM's website of www.ibm.com/certify, I was told that "To attain the IBM Certified Solution Developer - WebSphere Studio V5.0 certification, candidates must pass 1 test." But in the roadmaps, it seems only test 286 is not enough ---- still need 310-025/310-035/154.

I'm puzzled. Should I just wait for my ICSD or still need to pass another exam?

So far as I know, in order to get ICSD, you just need to pass 286.

In addition, in case you got SCJP, you might send to IBM to see whether it is a sufficient condition.

What do you mean by getting your certificate?

For 287, as far as I know, there should be no certificate at all. In order to receive ICED, you need to pass 484, 486 and SCJP as well.

For 286, you should be expected to receive an e-certificate. There is no hardcopy provided unless you personally request to IBM, and IBM agrees to send you one.

For ICSD, SCJP was required in addtion to test 286 in the past. This requirement is removed. You may confirm with IBM Support.

Hi,George. I think u r right. IBM changes the requirements for ICSD.

I passed the test 286 a year ago(287 also passed) but get nothing --- neither e-cetificate nor hard-copy. But now maybe I can receive my cetificate of ICSD.

Who knows.... IBM always makes changes.I've mail to certify@us.ibm.com, what I can do is to wait...

Dont worried. As there are quite a number of holidays this week, I guess you will get response from IBM next year, and they will finally send you a "new year gift", hopefully.

Hello,
do you have some new information? Is 286 only one exam for ICSD?

Thanks!

Hello,

so page http://www-03.ibm.com/certify/certs/adsdwssv5.shtml was changed to original state at this weekend. Test 154 (or Sun ones) is required! (

Hi Nic,
Is it advisable to give SCWCD, SCBCD and Sun Certification for Web Services or to go for ICED(287,484,486).

For myself, I am with the following path:

SCWCD -> SCBCD -> 486 -> 484 -> 287

From technologies to vendor specific.
