Hi everybody,
I have passed the BEA Certified Developer for Portal Solutions Exam.I could score only 69%.I have refered to the study guide provided by BEA for portal solutions.Just reading may not help to pass the exam, but you should have development experience on most of the concepts in the portal framework. There were some questions on tags/attributes that are "rarely" used in practice.covers the "Data Project" of the framework in depth.I could not find any mock exams for this exams anywhere.

Well done!

What's next?

I could not find any mock exams for this exams anywhere.

This is for sure, because this exam is not very popular, compared to other exams.

congratulations even though its a just pass.
It is probably similar to the BEA 8.1 Certified Administrator exam in all aspects. such as no prepare materials at all anywhere except from BEA Education Services and BEA's e-doc website.

Thank you john.
As far as I know, the only way to prepare for BEA certification is read edocs.I have followed the study guide provided by BEA. the actual exam covers the topics as mentioned in the bea certification page. also do it practically as much as possible(about 60% questions need practical experience).I dont think there is any book for the certification exam. no information on the internet either.
make sure you are very comfortable with workshop before writing the test.
The exams covers BEA portal 8.1 SP2. dont have to worry about things like WSRP(sp3/sp4).
good luck
