Hi everybody , I want to become software architect . I know there is one exam SCEA from SUN . But I am looking for any discount or offer . I got to know that IBM is offering free exam if you pass the assessment test ( 10 $ ) .
Can any body give me suggestion that for which assessment test I should go ?
My feeling is that, even though we get to clear this exam, we need not be regarded as an architect. We need to have thorough practical knowledge of different software systems, how they interact, how to apply security and many more such things apart from good OO system designs, in order to make the right architectural decisions. A person with the above skills need not necessarily have cleared the exam to be considered for the elite role in the organization IMHO.
Hope this info helps. Good luck for your pursuit.

Yaa I know that there is SUN exam SCEA .... but I am talking about IBM free exam ... is there any IBM free cirtificate that may help .... anyway thanks for your info but passing cirtification require that knowledge ... so automatically you will be expert if you have cirtificate .. Although its my personal opinion ...
I'm not sure if I approve of this interruption. But this tiny ad checks out:
