Does anyone know if/when IBM will launch their WebSphere 6 certification exams?

I want to do some of these exams in the near future but wasn't sure if I should start with the WebSphere 5 exams or hold off if the WebSphere 6 exams are going to appear soon.

Thanks for any replies.

The 1st RAD 6 certificate will be available on 11 April 2005.

Details can be referred to:
http://www-03.ibm.com/certify/news/20041220j.shtml

For your information, IBM has renamed WSAD into RAD for version 6 and later versions.

You can read the redbook first for pre-study. Currently, as we still dont know the exam objectives, we dont know what will be tested, and thus, what we could do is to do some pre-study, and play around with RAD v6.0.

hey,
i am planning to appear for 257 when it is launched.
in that case i should not appear for 255,as 257 is more advanced and would overwrite if i give 255.
please suggest.
thanks in advance.
dhriti.

IBM 255 and 257 focus on different areas. IBM 255 focus on the efficiency of using RAD v6.0 (like IBM 285), while IBM 257 focus on how to use RAD v6.0 to develop J2EE 1.4 applications (like 287).

doesn't it mean if you can go for and clear 257,then you need not think about 255.

I would say, it depends on what you want.

If you want a test on RAD v6.0 focus on how to use IDE, go for 255.
If you want a test on RAD v6.0 focus on how to develop J2EE application, go for 257.

Some people might want to get all 3 certificates (IBM 285, 286 and 287).
