Hi,

Any body knows something about UML and XML pocket reference from O-Reilly. Is that books are sufficient for IBM UML and XML certificate?

Thanks.

Hi,

Not sure about XML exam, but for 000-486 - Larman is the first source (plus Fowler). You can't pass the test without Larman. Moreover, I believe these books were used by test creators. So, better to concentrate on IBM recommended sources.

One more comment: for 000-486 the UML is important, but not as much as ability to analyse requirements, make design decisions, etc.

Try to take Quiz #3 from here - https://coderanch.com/t/145207/po/certification/Free-Super-New-IBM-OOAD

I understand that the expiration of vouchers is coming, however, there is no shortcut to pass an exam. Do spend some time on studying the outstanding exams.

If I were you, I will focus on 1 or 2 exams (like 484 or 348) and pass them, instead of try rushing for all exams while finally failed all of them.
