Regarding DB2 connectivity

I want to create a DB2 database in my local drive D: using IBM DB2 Command Line Processor.so when i tried i got this error.

db2 => create database sample on D:
SQL1096N The command is not valid for this node type.

so how can i proceed with this. so if anyone please forward the reply to my mail ID: boo_sri@rediffmail.com
