I`ve cleared the IBM 256 Test. Last month I`d already got IBM 150 test. So, now I`m IBM Certified Application Developer - Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software V6.0 and IBM Certified Solution Developer Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software V6.0.

Thanks MZ for the notes and the ICE Test. But this test was harder than ICE Test, I got 62% (54% is the minimum score) and 79% in the ICE Test.

Leo

Hi visu,

I`ve studied using MZ IBM 255 notes (http://java.boot.by/ibm-255) and IBM 256`s ICE Test (http://java.boot.by/magnet-mocker/download/exams.html). I think there is a ICE test for the 255 test too.

Moreover, I`ve studied some topics in the IBM Red Book (http://publib-b.boulder.ibm.com/redpieces/abstracts/sg246449.html?Open).

The test was harder than I thought but I haven`t studied so much, just two weeks, maybe 2 hours per day. But there were a lot of questions about EJB, specifically about message-drivers, JMS and the test environment for these kind of applications.

There were some questions (three or four) about design patterns, MVC, Model 2, Session Facade. Two or three questions about web application performacing and scaling, one about refactoring, etc.

If you have more questions, please let me know.

Regards,
Leo

Hi Leonardo,

Arent these also part of the IBM 150 exam? I believe you also did that exam. How much % would you say, of IBM 256 is IBM 150 exam? e.g. 80% of IBM 256 is IBM 150 topics.

Just as a heads up, I've got a few mock tests on 255 and 256 on my website.

http://www.technicalfacilitation.com/examscam/get.php?link=../irad/testsall

The test isn't just tool based, but also wants alot of info on EJBs and Web Services. I was actually surprised how many questions there were on Web Services, especially right off the bat.

Cheers, and congratulations on the pass.
