Any UML Certified for OMG around

Hello Guys,

I am planning to go for UML Certifications for OMG.

Can someone point me to the direction for relevent resources, material and tips etc etc. I am currenlty involve with rational toolset i.e. RSA, Reqpro, Clearcase but dont want to go for IBM exam.

Any guidlines will helpful !!!

I am also interested in taking the OMG certification, but don't know how to prepare for it. I looked at the UML 2.0: Superstructure document, and really, how does anyone able to read anything like that?

Martin Fowler UML distilled is the book you can read to pass the basic exam

I agree with you Edmund! I was also surprised to see that huge UML specs.



Joy: Thanks for your help. Is that recommended study material for the basic exam? Is that the only book we should follow for the exam?
I have done few online and class based courses on UML. so just wanted to guage my current knowledge, before i book some exam, do you know about any reference tests?

UML practise exam I havent heard of but you can google up......

The basic exam is easy you dont have to purchase a mock exam for that.....
Why spend money on mock exams better use that money to buy the book......
In all my certifications PMP included I havent seen any mock exam helping me the questions at the back of each chapter is enough to pass the exam and also nobody will ask you for score so you dont have to score 100% to get certified only inexperience people write score after there certification if your intent is to know the subject and pass the exam to prove yourself and your self only (no body cares about certification they only cares whether you have experinece in the subject matter you have to implement in your work/workplace the ideas you get from knowing the subject) that you have given effort and time to know the subject.

Go for knowledge man its worth every morning you will feel good about yourself that you know and implement the knowledge practically and apply common sense ......

One of our professors back in my Engineering College in Calcutta use to say

Engineering Is Common Sense.....

I think Software engineering also follows the same fundamental adde to enginnering its also a craft so sharpen your tools and apply common sense the world will respect you.....

Also for pushing me a bit as i am too lazy these days...he he

I dont tend to memorize things to be honest, I believe in solving the problem but mostly get cought in complience with the processes and artifects etc. Yes,I do understand that does help in larger projects.
