I see so many posts here about UML certifications - IBM 486 OOAD/UML and OCUP (OMG Certified UML Professional).

I would like to requst moderators to create for separate forum for UML related certifications.I think UML deserves its own forum.I am sure there are many of us want to discuss more about these certifications in detail.Currently many of the questions are very high-level (what is the diff between the two certifications, guidance etc) but not may detail-oriented questions (like discussing scenarios, diagrams, solutions etc.,) I am sure creating separate forum will enable us to discuss more in detail - currently it is lost very easily if you post in tis forum "Product and Other certifications".

What do you think?

It would not be that fesible as IBM 486 is going to be retired and there is no replacement tests. Number of candidates for OCUP (as well as DB2/Oracle and other IBM tests) is far more less than Java certificates, and thus, there seems no urgent needs for the change. Same case applied to Rational UML.

The Product and Other Certifications forum really doesn't get much traffic. If we kept widdling off its most popular topics to their own forum, this place would be a ghost town.

If anything, I would say to merge this forum with XML Certification. Topics might get "lost" more, but we've a pretty good Search functionality to find all your relevant topics.
