IBM SOA or SCJWSD?

Dear friends,

I finished my SCWCD exam recently planning to take up web service related certification.

Can anybody suggest which has got value?(which would make my profile look better)..... IBM SOA or SCJWSD?

Eagerly awaiting replies :-)

Hi Suresh,

SOA is actually in every mouth of every IT departament, so you must go for it if you just want show something "hot" for an employer.
Personally, i think that you can go for SCDJWS and then go for IBM SOA, because there is a lot of questions in IBM SOA's exam that is related to Web Services.
Also, IBM SOA is focused on IBM's SOA view, products and solutios, SCDJWS is "more neutral".
Just my 2 cents.

I agree with Marcelo.

I did this, but I went to BEA SOA cert, not IBM, but first got SCDJWS, which is really helpful for ones working with SOA.

Don't go for SCJWSD because it is outdated now, for example it contains JAX-RPC and not JAX-WS. I think it is waste of your time and money now.
Wait for new version of SCJWSD
