1) what books to read? Is there a specific book dedicated for this exam? UML 2 Certification Guide: Fundamental & Intermediate Exams, by Tim Weilkiens and Bernd Oestereich.
2) Reg UML superstructure spec, which version is more appropriate to so through? It's the
United Modeling Language 2.0 Proposal (03-08-02) that matches the coverage table.
3) How long does it take to prepare for this exam? if i can spend 1 hr everyday. With the proposed book: the time to learn page 15 to page 112.
It took me one year, but the Certification Guide was not available at that time, so I used the UML User Guide. It is focusing on explaining and teaching UML.
The Certification Guide, however, is focused on preparing you for the certification. I've read testimonials on the ranch of someone who managed to do it in two weeks.
The Fundamental chapter has six sections. If you spend two hours of quality time to go through each section, and do that exercise twice, you could be up to speed in 24 days.
Read
Peter Cook's info. It's good.
