Hi Ranchers,

I am preparing for the exam 833, and from this forum it come to know to me that carig larmen book is ideal. URL (http://www-306.ibm.com/software/awdtools/rmc/) for RMC is also there, but is this same for RUP. Do i need to study from RMC or RUP? I am confused between the two.

And which chapters should i study in craig larmen? and whats the difficulty level of this exam.

Thank you very much.

Hi Faraz
in this thread you can find the right chapter of larman book:
https://coderanch.com/t/145793/po/certification/Cleared-IBM

I'm also preparing for this exam. I'm studying from RUP and in particular the analisys & design activities and some concept like structured classes, visual modeling, diagrams from RUP views, and in general all concepts tied to analisys & design activities (of RUP), and all this materials are available in the RMC!!!
There are not very free mock test, so i dont know the level of this exam, but i think that if you have same experience with use cases it wont be very difficult (i hope)

Hi giuseppe,

Thanks for the info.

I tried to download the RMC from "http://www-306.ibm.com/software/awdtools/rmc/", but it did not allowed me to download it and said that my request is under review, and i will be informed if it is approved.

What was this? And do we need to study GRASP patterns mentioned in Craig larmen? and i read in this forum that UML diagrams will not come in exam 833.

Thanks,

The glass is neither half full or half empty. It is too big. But this tiny ad is just right:
