I read in one of the mailing-groups that IBM will be coming up with a new version of the XML certification exam in around a month or two. Is it worth to prepare for the exam or appear for the exam now because they might revamp the syllabus and those appearing for the exam now might realize in a week or two after giving the exam that they have an outdated certificate? Anybody having any information or views on the same? TIA - Chris
Hi, Any Certification is worth the name unless the new one catches up and that needs TIME ... My is facing this very conundrum ... But then, I guess the new Exam will have only one or two specific topics added to it 'cos there is no new XML spec in sight as yet from W3C. I dunno if I am right on this ...but would like someone on the forum to confirm this ! Regards, Praveen
Hi Guys! As far as I am aware I heard that IBM is going to add Schema's and more of SAX and DOM to the certification. I don't think the changes will be worth waiting for until W3C comes up with new specifications which may impact the exam in a big manner. And anyway things will always keep changing and we will have to upgrade ourselves. So I am not gonna wait for the changes (by the ay they are expected in November or so)...I am taking the exam next week...Please wish me all the best...I need your support...Bye..take care Love you guys Kelly
Kelly- I wish you all the best. I won't be surprised if you record the highest score ever. God be with you as you prepare. Louis.
