"Arguments over whether it is best to use elements or attributes to store values are common in XML applications. Which questions should an XML developer ask to determine whether it is best to use elements or attributes to store values for a particular situation?
Multiple Select - Please select all of the correct answers (this question has 4 correct choices). "
a) Is the data flat or hierarchical?
Viktor: Yes
b) Do multiple values need to be offered?
Viktor: No
c) Do child information items need to be ordered?
Viktor: Yes
d) Does information need to be distributed over multiple devices?
Viktor: No
e) Does information need to be queried?
Viktor: Yes
f) Does the value have one of an enumeration of values?
Viktor: Yes
g) Can the size of the transaction impact the solution?
Viktor: No
I don't agree with Viktor on e). Of course there is allways a need to query data in XML. So I would rather save the 4th answer for b). If I do have the need for multiple values I would consider to use an element...
