Hi All,
I am preparing for XML certification. I am collecting resources to study. On IBM site , in resources they have suggested
Professional XML
By Didier Martin, et al.
Publisher: Wrox Press
ISBN: 1861003110
which is not 2nd addition
And here all Javaranchers suggest 2nd addition of the same book. What do you all suggest , which book I shoud go for?
Hoping for your response
Thanks,

I bought the book Professional XML 2nd Edition and I liked it so much.
I knew almost nothing about XML and this book explained me a lot of new concepts clearly.
Unhappily the book doesn't cover all the requirements to the exam. Some of them you'll have to search at the internet.
A few chapters are not so good to study for the exam. Some of them explain the teory heavily based on examples. I preferred to read some specifications found at www.w3.org.
Concluding, the book is a very good beginning. Read it!

Chetana,
It's recommended that you get the second ed. of Professional XML book. Unfortunately it's still not available in India. I'm also waiting for the book. But if you are in the US you can get it.
If you are new to XML, you can refer to Beginning XML. Checkout for the latest edition. Otherwise the book may be talking of outdated specs.
www.w3schools.com is a good site to start with.
Hope this info is sufficient.
Good luck,
Rakesh.
