Processing Instructions- Q 6 Javaranch Mock

As per Javaranch, DOMSAX mock, answer to following question is right.
6. When Processing Instructions are a part of your parsing process, DOM should be used, since SAX cannot be used to detect a Processing Instruction in a document.
I will be obliged if any one can provide explanation for this question.

That must be a mistake. SAX does have a processing-instruction callback within ContentHandler. I haven't actually tried this but if it doesn't work that's probably an issue with a specific parser.
