hi folks,
took IBM 141 test this afternoon. i was not prepared very well. there were questions on topics that i thought would not be asked on. it's pain during the whole test period simply because i was not well prepared. however i made it somehow with 61% and i am happy. the whole credit goes to all people in this forum. thanks to Jayadev and Sergey for their quick response to my question. thanks jayadev you're even answering my question till last night which helped me a lot in this test.
Experience About the Test:
Most of the question were about Scenario Based. So to those who are planing to take this test, go over all the scenario based questions in mock exams and make sure you understand it.
Most of the questions were from DTD and Schema.
DTD Area:
Conditional, variable, param, ID, IDREF, IDREFS, Key, General Entity, Parameter Entity, Element and Attribute. No direct question on these topics but scenario base. Qeustions like what kind of situation are they used and how.how do you choose one to other.
Schema Area:
all, choice and sequence. they ask you if the context they are used are correct. facets, enumeration, pattern, group, subtitution. of course, complexType and simply type. And UNION.
Understand when do you choose DTD and Schema.
a couple of from CSS, XSL FO, Xlink and XPointer.
about 5 or 6 questions from DOM and SAX. 3 were about methods and interfaces. context where DOM and SAX are used.
about 4 or 5 questions were from XSLT and XPath.
go over all the XPath funtions.
about 3 or 4 questions were from SOAP.
a couple of from WSDL and UDDI, but not in detail just concept.
WATCH OUT:
----------
MORE THAN HALF OF THE QUESTIONS WERE ASKED TO CHOOSE AT LEAST 3 CORRECT ANSWERS. SO BE PREPARED FOR IT.
Material I used and Strategy I took:
All links to online book's free chapters that are put on this site.
www.w3.w3schools.com
XML in a Nutshell and Professional XML 2nd Edition
All the Mock exams and THIS FORUM.
Honestly this Forum and all mock exams helped me a lot. about 5 or 6 questions from mock exam sites.
thanks again JAVA RANCAHERS!
All the BEST for all who are preparing for this certification.

Thank you Himal,
Your forum posting was very helpful to me as I studied and was dead-on when I took the test this morning.
Note to those still studying: Study each of the things Himal mentioned, and you will pass.
