Hi all,
With all of your support I passed the exam today, not a great score though! Exam had a lot of scenario questions. The problem with mine was the time limit. I was just on time. Just 33 sec left.

But the idea is, when you dont know the exact answer, try eliminating all the ones which are not appropriate. This helped me a lot.
No questions were asked on Security.
In general the exam was not very easy but certainly not very tough either.
My advice:
Practise lot of scenario questions.
Special thanks to Jayadev Pulaparty for explaining to me regarding "DOM/SAX" based scenario questions. It helped me in the exam.
THANKS A LOT to all of you and best wishes to all others who want to take the exam.

Good job Priya,
Passing is better than failing -- and in the end your certificate will not show the score. A pass is a pass.
Take care,
Scott

Thank You all. My effort towards this exam was hardly a month. Anyway iam now wondering what to study next. My experience has been in primarily Java + XML technology.
Right now iam job hunting with no luck. What certification can i proceed next. IS Microsoft Certified C# .Net Windows Application Programmer
certification a good choice. Or should i think of something like MCSD?
Please advice

Priya Microsoft c# .Net Certification is first one for MCSD .NET I will suggest you to go for it if you are vendor neutral learner and if you are java lover than leave it and work on Enterprise level Certification like 483,j2ee and Uml and 158 Web Sphere

Thank you Syed. Can you tell me where I can find resources to persue C# certification. Since this tech market is everchanging, iam thinking of a "vendor neutral approach!"

Any suggestions?

Well, the next certification for which u should go depends upon ur experience level & the way u wanna go ahead with ur career. As per my understanding certifications in varied areas will not be useful. I too wanna go for C# certification but that will be again a programming/syntax based exam which has got no relevance to Java technology as such(i will elaborate on this point later).
As a Java professional, for vertical growth you should go for OOAD/UML/XML certifications(i presume that you already know Servlets, JSP apart from Java language), which make more sense as Java is an OO language. If you already have OOAD/UML/XML certification then it will be good if you go SCEA certification(which requires skills in J2EE/OOAD/UML/Design Patterns/Architectures). Even before going for SCEA you can go through so called preparatory certifications for SCEA, like OOAD with UML & J2EE connectivity certifications from IBM.
But in case if you already have good exposure to J2EE,UML,OOAD/Patterns then ONLY i think you should move on to cover parallel technologies like C# & .NET.
Any comments??
ashish sarin
SCJP2,SCJD2,SCEA(PartI),SCWCD,IBM Certified Developer-XML & related technologies(i expect space crunch here in the coming times)

Well I agree with Asish in this case you should be at extrem level of Enterprise development and then you can go for parallel technology but I my self I am not going for SCEA because I know its very expensive to go for specially in Pakistan while after discount offer Microsoft paper cost me around Rs.2200 so I my self will prefer to go for MCSD but one should must have knowledge of J2EE , UML ,XML it helps a lot conceptually I don't think certification in these is an obligation how ever I am attaching some resources for .NET programming as a .NET Teacher I have to collect them for my students these are some of them
