Well, since I actually got a topic to post, I moved the problem with the dates on the main page when you use your back button.
***************************************
(copied from the BIG thread)
I create a new window of IE, my main page is JavaRanch. It shows up fine, with date displays fine.
I go into a forum - say the JavaRanch forum. Then I back out for whatever reason (like say - I can't post a new topic anyway. . . ). The date and topic displays are not the ones that were just there. They seem to be a cached version of the main page from yesterday. I could recreate this 6 times in a variety of scenarios - all involving backing up. If you want I have a pretty picture saved of the main page showing yesterdays dates that I got served today  .
Confused me for a bit until I figured out what was going on.
In the old release we NEVER had caching problems with the main page. It would update the counts and times, even when we had problems getting the topics to refresh.
(Hey - Cool - I can edit the topic too!!)
