Hello,
Today I passed the IBM 141 XML exam with 76%.
I think the test has some quality questions on Schemas, DTDs, Namespaces and XSLT. Overall you got to be careful while selecting answers. Several of them have 2 or more answers.
My preparation details:
I took 4 weeks for the entire preparation. Before taking the exam I had only minimum knowledge about XML only. Test materials I have gone through:
1.w3schools.com: I started my preparation with the tutorials on this site. Very easy way to know basics about XML and related technologies.
2.Sample chapters from the XML Bible: http://www.ibiblio.org/xml/books/bible2/chapters/
This is an excellent (*****) resource for Schemas, XSLT, XSL-FO, XPath and XPointer.
3.Took practice tests using XML Whiz. Not much useful but gives you the environment of the actual test. Like answering 55 questions within the time limit. Anyway better have it.
I think it takes atleast 4 weeks for preparation for someone new to this technology to understand the concepts and details of various technologies.
Particularly concentrate more on Schemas, XSLT and DTDs.
I would like to thank Karthik for his valuable suggestions.
Thank you all for your participation.
Sincerely,
