Hi all,
Please suggest me: Is the XML certification from w3schools is worth to do? Will it help in getting IBM-XML certification? There are so many in the market to do. How should I decide what certifications I need to complete.
I am SCJP 4 years ago. I am giving SCWCD this weekend. Planning to give couple more in next few months. I am in Java ocean since last 5 years.
Awaiting your inputs and references,
Thanks
Nagesh.

Its basically what technologies you want to learn.
Today's market is very dynamic and expects a lot
of stuff. Some of the technologies are considered
"basic skills" now. When you search for a job on
Monster or Dice, technologies like XML are implied
in the job requirements.
You can learn these in two ways - on the job when
you are on a project that requires this tech. or
be more pro-active and set your own goals. I prefer
the second. One way to set your goal is to take a
Certification Exam, in the process learn the subject.
While I have no negative opinions on the first choice,
I always wonder why will they pick you for the project
if you don't know the tech. that is required ?
Setting personal goals isn't very easy. Afterall, we are
all humans and so inherit the virtue of laziness
and resistance to change.
That's just me.............

It sure was nice of your sister to lend us her car. Let's show our appreciation by sharing this tiny ad:
