Hi I was going through the mocks for XML and DTD and they required knowledge of the XML in finer details like going thru the XML Spec.
So I opened the XML Spec as well but I have got stuck in interpretting it ..
Can some interpret this for me ...
Picked directly from the XML Spec.. http://www.xml.com/axml/testaxml.htm

[11] SystemLiteral ::= ('"' [^"]* '"') |?("'" [^']* "'")
[12] PubidLiteral ::= '"' PubidChar* '"' | "'" (PubidChar - "'")* "'"
[13] PubidChar ::= #x20 | #xD | #xA |?[a-zA-Z0-9] |?[-'()+,./:=?;!*#@$_%]

Thanks
Dhiren

Hi Dhiren,
Even though it is good to go through the specs, You dont have to go through the entire specs (or even parts of it ) to study for teh exam !!!
I dint !!

Cos it is VERY VERY LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG and reading teh specs makes you go either or or

I think the definitions you have quoted have to do with the SYSTEM, PUBLIC kewords used in the DTD's for specifyoing teh location of the DTD.

I think the SystemLiteral and PublicLiteral specify teh characters you can use to specify the values(single quote, double Quote)

well, if you have gone through DTD . I am sure you have , you can also specify a PUBLIC location

And finally PubidChar, I thing would be the values that the public ID can contain!!

All these are Regular expressions, and if some REGULAR EXPRESSION expert racher, could provide some more info it would be great

also, I am not sure I am right

So somebody please do correct me if I am wrong !!!

Meanwhile, Will try to find more info
