Hi All,
I have just completed SCBCD and planning to go for IBM XML next. I have no working experience in XML except creating DDs for servlets and ejbs. I have read that we need to have strong XML knowledge and working experience before thinking about going for the exam. Can I start preparing from now with hands-on and take the exam in 3 or 4 months?. Do I really need years of experience in XML?. Can anyone tell me what can I do?.

Thanks Peer. I have started with Certification Success Part1. Once I complete these 3 pdfs I will start with Professional XML and follow the self-study approach.

Congrats on passing SCBCD

You dont need to have any experience as such for studying for the exam ..The exam covers a lot of scenario based questios and experience in these areas Will Definetly help you in solving these questions ..

But with teh resources posted here and with teh tips shared by the people who have passed the exam and posted here I am sure that you can easily clear the exam

3-4 months with 1-2 hrs for the first 2 mintsh and 2-3 hrs in the last 2-3 weeks should be MORE than enough to clear the exam !

If you have any doubts while preparing for the exam, post your questions here ..(most of them woudl be answered here ..u can do a search on the forum)

Good luck preparing for the exam
