also, I preferred searching on Member Name (partial or full match). Where did that option go?

Well, if you can find even one post that the person made, then go into their profile, there is an option "view recent posts" or something that gives you a list of what the person has done in reverse order.
Of course that means that you have to FIND that first post  .

I don't know where the Member Name option went, but I'm not having any problem searching by member number. I tried a search on you in this forum and a search on Jim in all forums. Both searches worked fine. What problem are you having?

Looks like it's working now. I got 0 results for any member before.

The search by Member# option is no good when the poster is unregistered. And suppose the poster does have a registered name, and has posted elsewhere using that, how can you find those posts (to get the Member# from it)?
An option to search by name would be a welcome addition.

Type one of the member's names in the "Search Words: " box. I don't know if it works on both names, but I just did a search on Yingst and it worked just fine.

In any case, the search is taking tooooooo much time even for a 'Since 10 days ago' option for only one forum.

This works only if the name is part of a message text. So if Yingst made a post, but never got talked about, or addressed, or quoted (as in 'Originally posted by ...'), that thread would not appear in the search results.
