Hi Ranchies,

I am preparing for IBM XML certification and thus looking to buy Whizlabs Simulator . The web site is showing that they are giving discounts on most of their products .

1) IBM 141 exam is costing me Rs 749.95 (i.e. 15.62$) , is it really an offer or it costs so much only . Anyone has bought earlier , please let me know.

2) IBM 141 has been replaced by IBM 142 as pointed out in this forum , so shall I wait for IBM 142 .

I have just started preparing for the exam so it will take some time b4 I will go for the certification

Thanks

No,I don't think so, but regarding to Kris Lightsey (who posted a thread in this forum some time later yesterday) the whizlab exam simulator for the IBM XML test is really bad because the questions are very different to the questions of the real exam.

Bye,
Ernie

I tried the IBM/prometric assessment test. It is $10 for each time you want to try it.

whats the point in trying more than one time as it gives out same set of questions each time;)...I did that for my 252 exam and lost money..

ok , so through all the replies , i have planned to prepare for the exam as :

1) Go thru XML In a Nutshell
2) Go thru XSLT Cookbook ( Do I need to read through a whole book or selected chapters)
3) Go thru IBM Tutorial (But at IBM site there are many references for XML , so which should I pick for the exams.

I am quite intermediate to XML and has just started working on that in my project.

Please guide me to prepare for that.

Dear Ranchers,

As mentioned on our website, the XML certification product currently listed on our website is for the Test 141 and not for the Test 142.

As soon as we launch the new product, we will announce it.

Best wishes,
Pradeep Chopra

Hi Dua!

I think you don't have to go through the XSLT Cookbook. Its goes to much into detail. The questions on XSLT are very simple und can be solved by the stuff mentioned in 'XML in a Nutshell'.
Additionally you could try the IBM tutorials for the old 141 exam. They are also pretty good and cover nearly all objectives.
