Hello Friends,

I am planning to give this certification XML 142 of IBM.
I went to IBM's link , they have referred two books
1. XML in a nutshell
2. XSLT CookBook

Which one should be purchased, which one is better and should cover all the topics of th objectives?

IS there any other book which should be read. As i m totally new to XML with no knowledge.

I found the 5 part series. What else is required to go through?

please help

Hi Mallika,

No single book covers all the topics mentioned in the objectives. You need to go through some online resources also apart from reading books.

You can buy "XML in a Nutshell" and "Professional XML" which should cover most of the topics. I don't think XSLT cook book is required.

Also, go thru IBM's developerWorks site for articles on security etc.

Go through other resources mentioned in javaranch's faq http://faq.javaranch.com/java/IBMXMLCertificationFaq

Thanks,
Chandra
