Hi All,
I was going through J2EE webservices and I have a question on the UDDI chapters.
In the values for either a categoryBag or the identifierBag how does the actual value for a tmodel Key really differ .What generates these key Values such that they r different. ref page 175 onwards .J2EE webservices. If for EG I add a WSDL to the UDDI registry do I need to generate these UUID according to some specific format if so is that format different for different categories.
Thanks
Dhiren

Hi,
The UUIDs assigned to tModels are either assigned automatically or have been assigned by the UDDI.org. When you create a tModel that represents a WSDL document, for example, the UDDI registry will automatically generate a UUID for that tModel when you save it for the first time. The UUIDs assigned by the UDDI.org are for standard categorizations or identifiers like the UUID assigned to tModel that represents the D-U-N-S identification system.
I hope this helps,
Richard

Hi Richard ,
Thanks for the reply .
If the UDDI registry creates the UUID initially, when a look up is done through the JAXR API, how does the API know what the UUID value is.
Does it need to first access the UUID of the organization and then do the other finds.
If the UUID is any way transparent to the actual end user (if that be the case ) .. is the UUID only useful from the UDDI registry standpoint practically

Thanks
Dhiren
