Hi kathy,
I used HF EJB for SCBCD preparation and scored above 90%. The book was unique in terms of presentation. It helped me a lot to understand the ejb concepts well.
My question here is, do you have any idea of releasing a book for Web Services Certification (SCDJWS). If so I will be the first person to grab it.
cheers,
Bala

Thanks! And congratulations. We're not sure what our plans will be for the web services exam. We probably will do *something*, either a book or--more likely--a smaller certification guide that will expect you to learn the details from other books (and will point you in the right direction there), but we haven't nailed down the exact plans. We might be working with Max Habibi on this project... he's the author of a book on the SCJD exam, and we *really* like that book. He's also a sheriff here at javaranch.
As soon as we know anything specific, we'll let everyone know. In the meantime, I feel strongly that the best overall web services book is the one by Richard Monson-Haefel.
cheers,
Kathy

Hi Kathy,
Glad to hear that you are planning to work on SCDJWS.
I love Max much, he did a cool job with his SCJD book, it helps me a lot while I was working with SCJD. I am looking forward to see the book that produced by you and Max, I guess Bert will take part in as well, rite?

Dear Kathy.
I also passed SCBCD with 91% by using your book.
I think you are a very good writer, who can explain the concepts very clearly. Please release a book focusing on SCDJWS and take our expectts into deep consideration. and....I am a little lazy and just want to read only one book, your book, to pass SCDJWS. Thanks.
