Since this is just the first wave for this Web Services certification, how do you think the value for this certification in terms of job career path and salary? e.g. easy to find a web services programmer job? e.g. get a good salary? e.g . is it a hot market for java web services programming and/or consulting?

I appreciate your comments!!!

I think it is a perfect way for me to learn a new skill by attending an eaxm. also 1) Since the certificate providers are industry leaders within the specific areas, so you are simply following the industry standards and the technical trends; 2) Since I have to take a serious exam, it pushes me to study seriously to understand all aspects of the new technology; 3) It saves IT training dollars. Sometimes taking an instructor-led lab-class (which is often very expensive, usually several thousands of dollars) makes more sense when you try to get handon-experiences. Sometimes self-paced study training makes sense since it's more flexible and cost-saving, it usually takes hundreds of dollars to buy the books and exam vouchers. 4) Getting certified lets me feel more confident when I have to tackle the problems or do the projects using that specific knowledge. 5) Most of the certificates are well-recognized and respected in the industry, so for the employers, they are proud of having more certified tech guys, for the employees, they are feeling more secure (job security).

I believed other people have more input.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
