cleared SCDJWS today with score of 85%,
it it so hard to pass, there are some questions that I have no idea where they come from.
and the RMH's J2ee web services book is far not enough for passing this exam, I got lot of questions from web service security, J2EE, xml parsing, xslt etc, and some questions I don't know where they come from.

I have read through the J2EE web services(RMH) for 3 times, I think that there is about 60%-70% questions come from that book, it is not enough to pass the exam if you read that book only.

Congratulations and thanks a lot for the tips.

Are those questions about general web services concepts?

So what's next? SCEA?

That is really a gr8 score!
Congratulations!

I am also preparing for SCDJWS!

If J2EE Web Services (RMH) is not enough, what other book we need to refer to clear this exam successfully?

How long did u prepare for this exam? Did u make use of any simulator?

To Ko KO Naing:

for some strange questions, I don't think that they are related to web services concepts, for example, some quesitons relate to very details about API level for JAXB ,etc.

your guess is right, my next step is SCEA,

To Murali,

for preparing this exam,

I use two books, one is RMH's J2EE Web Services and the other one is Web Service Security, I had spent about 6 week to prepare,

I downloaded the WhizLabs simulator, and try the trial version, there are 22 questions there, I didn't purchase it because it is too expansive.

Congratulations on your achievement. Despite the sparse traffic in this forum and the well-known difficulty of this exam, it is very encouraging to see people cracking the test and coming out with flying colors.

In your opinion, were there questions that strayed from exam objectives published by Sun?

Thanks

For Kallambella,

actually, I didn't pay much attention to the exam objectives published by Sun before I took the exam. for example, I have no knowledge about the JAXB at all, when I got some questions from JAXB in the exam, I got headache at that time, but after I took the exam, I took a quick look on the exam objectives, the objectives DO MENTION the JAXB.

Hi Xiao

Congrats for passing with good score.

Can you mention which book for "Web Service Security" did you read? Did you read the entire book or portion of it?

Thanks

Hi Shah,

The URL of the book that I mentioned before is here:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0072224711/qid=1113867274/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/002-3075208-7375249?v=glance&s=books&n=507846

I do read the entire book, but I have only read through it for 1 times,
and prety quickly because I have some working experience on that.

don't worry because the exam questions about security are very straightforward. you just need to understand every concept very well.

Hi Xiao

Thanks for the quick reply. One more thing is that I am preparing and planning to take this exam in May.
I have completed RMH book once. I have to reread again to memorize again. I am also going to read Miklais guide.
But if you can tell me which part to concentrate more (e.g. JAXP, JAXR). JAXR seems little difficult in compare to other JAVA APIs. Do they ask more questions on that
Any guidelines will be helpful.
Thanks

is SCDJWS harder than IBM 141(XML and related technologies)?
and which Certification is more valuable IBM Certified Developer for XML and related technologies or SCDJWS?
