Hello Ranchers !

Sun Microsystems released recently on open access one of the highly recommended books for SCDJWS (it was released in HTML, but now you can download it in PDF format and print later):

Designing Web Services with the J2EE 1.4 Platform: JAX-RPC, SOAP, and XML Technologies

The book can be downloaded here:

https://blueprints.dev.java.net/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=3401&expandFolder=3401&folderID=0

https://blueprints.dev.java.net/books.html

Enjoy and Have Fun

does this book cover all the exam objectives for SCDJWS and is there an objective mapping with the content of this book?

This book is available in HTML format:
http://java.sun.com/blueprints/guidelines/designing_webservices/html/ .
It seems to be equivalent except it has the additional convenience of the TOC and other features of HTML not available in PDF.

Why would you still want anything to do with 1.4?

Hello,

The book is still available in HTML format from Sun web site: http://java.sun.com/blueprints/guidelines/designing_webservices/html/

And in PDF format from scribd.com - http://www.scribd.com/doc/17599432/Designing-Web-Services-With-the-J2EE-14-Platform-JAXRPC-SOAP-And-XML-Technologies

Mikalai,

Thanks for providing the link

I'm in the process of consolidating all the resources required for Webservices with JEE 5 and JEE 6 exam (your resources are awesome! eagerly waiting for your JEE 6 quiz to be out).

The link you just provided, is that still relevant for the two exams I mentioned above?

Please let me know so I can add it to my list.

Thanks again

The book is still partially relevant. Mostly about WebSerices high-level architecture, not technologies of course.
