The SCBCD vs SCDJWS issue seems to come up a lot - for my opinion see this thread here.

Mikalai Zaikin's SCDJWS Study Guide elaborates on the EJB content:
  • Objective 4.2
  • Objective 8.3
  • Objective 9.1

  • Now I don't know whether EJB related questions can cover a whole 10% - in fact the coverage probably varies for each exam instance. But you are assuming that you will answer all the remaining questions correctly!

Do a search for "SCDJWS" on the "Certification Results" forum (there's only about 50) and check out the comments of people who passed the exam. The SCDJWS seems to be harder (and probably takes more preparation) than the SCJP/SCWCD/SCBCD exams - which may simply be the result of the lack of a comprehensive certification guide. Getting 90% may be more difficult especially if you choose to ignore some exam objectives. You may get lucky - you might not.

I gave the exam recently and ther were no EJB specific questions. If you have a good understanding of how EJBs work and the advantages of EJBs over other technologies then you can go ahead with the exam.
