i hope that this quesiton is appropriate to be asked here.
is a detailed knowledge of any element of the schemas of deployment descriptors and related xml dokuments necessary to pass the exam ?
i mean most of that stuff is supposed to be created by tools and remembering more than an overview of the structure is really hard and boring.

what is your opinion ?

I just passed the exam, So I hope I can answer. No. Detailed knowledge of deployment descriptor is not required. But, high level knowledge is required.
