Hi,

As we might all admit, SOA and JWS technologies are still in its infancy. There is lots of room for these technologies to get mature. Considering the fast pace that these technologies are taking to move, what's the best time to prepare one's self for the test? I mean, not too early, not too late.
Just the right time that these technologies might settle.

The dilemma is that some of the sub-technologies get obsolete, and some new ones emerge. So as you see, there is a lot to learn, and there is a lot to forget. I see that many people here passed 1.4, but right now 1.6 is out of the box, wow, even 2.0 preview-version is available.

In terms of versioning, will SCDJWS certificate for a specific version expire?

In terms of materials, what's the best single printed material to study? For example, for SCJP, I'd absolutely say Kathy Sierra's et. al. book. Is there an equivalent of such an excellent book for SCDJWS?

Thanks for your time,

Mahdad

My philosophy would be, irrespective of worrying about version expiry and all I would go for it when I am confident.

For web services certification, there is no sure fire definitive guide. You sure need to go through the blue prints though.
