Hello All,

Are message handlers only used to process message headers?

Thanks in advance.

According to MZ notes (snippet below) which goes on to say that handlers can transform the contents of the soap body.

Scenario 2: Handlers must be able to transform just parts of the body. This might include changing part values within the SOAP body. Encryption of some parameter values is an example of this scenario.

Handlers cannot change the target of the component or cannot modify the Description.

From J2EE 1.4 API: javax.xml.rpc.handler.Handler

The javax.xml.rpc.handler.Handler interface is required to be implemented by a SOAP message handler. The handleRequest, handleResponse and handleFault methods for a SOAP message handler get access to the SOAPMessage from the SOAPMessageContext. The implementation of these methods can modify the SOAPMessage including the headers and body elements.
