I'm planning to start on SCDJWS in the next couple of months; I've completed SCJP, SCWCD, SCBCD - I understand this exam is a bit different when compared to the earlier ones after going through all your opinions.
After going through different threads in the past few day, these books/notes look like the most popular ones:
RMH's J2EE Web Services MZ's study guide WS Basic Profile Blue Prints
Is the RMH book exam-oriented like HFEJB etc.? If not, are there any books like that?
Hello Bharathi, You are correct about the materials. You need to study the materials that you have mentioned. I just passed this exam last weekend. RMH books is not targeted for SCDJWS exam.. But its good material to learn and get more details about webservices. Probably 70% of exam objectives are covered in this book. There is no book targeted for scdjws exam so far to my knowledge. As you said if you go through RMH book, xyzws.com, MZ notes and Blue Prints thats good enough for the exam.. Wish you good luck for the exam
SCJA, SCJP, SCWCD, SCBCD, SCDJWS.

Thank you Rijwan ... congrats on passing the exam!
Do you have any prior experience in Web Services and how do you find the exam? I don't have any experience in Web Services per se though I've experience in J2EE .. thought studying for the exam will help me understand and learn the concepts.

Thanks. I have little experience developing web services using Axis frame work but not exactly using JAX-RPC stuff.. Having experience gave me idea on what webservice is and little knowledge on soap & wsdl.. I think without any prior experience also you can study and write exam. But I would suggest you to work on few small examples while studying. That helps you a lot...
Absolutely not. The book is copyrighted material, and no e-Book of it is for sale. If such a thing exists it is an illegal copy, and we take a very stern line against piracy here on JavaRanch. Don't ask for illegal copies of pirated material again. [ December 31, 2006: Message edited by: Ernest Friedman-Hill ]
