I've been going through the old messages here trying to gather information about preparing to take the SCDJWS exam. Theres a lot of great information here. I had some trouble following some of the abreviations, but I think I've got it now. Here's a summary of the reccomendataions that I've seen you guys make:

RMH (J2EE web services, by Richard Monson Haefel RMH) - ISBN 0321146182

MZ guide (SCDJWS Study Guide by MZ) - http://java.boot.by/wsd-guide/

J2EE blue prints (Sun SDN J2EE blueprints. Maybe you guys can help me narrow these down a bit more?) -
http://java.sun.com/reference/blueprints/ - Blueprints main page
http://java.sun.com/blueprints/webservices/index.html - Web Services blueprints

WSI-BP 1.0(a) - ??? Is this one of the blueprints?

MZ Quiz (More cool stuff on MZ's site) - http://java.boot.by/wsd-quiz/

Kickstart guide - http://techtracer.com/2007/03/15/scdjws-preparation-a-kick-start-guide/

Study Material - http://techtracer.com/2007/03/17/scdjws-study-material-and-resources-the-most-searched-thing/

Mock Tests - http://techtracer.com/2007/03/19/scdjws-mock-tests-and-help-tried-and-tested/

Did I miss anything? I've got a few books on the way & am fixing to start studying:

Securing Web Services with WS-Security - ISBN 0672326515
J2EE Security for Servlets, EJBs, and Web Services - ISBN 0131402641
J2ee Web Services - ISBN 0321146182
Sun Certified Developer for Java Web Services - ISBN 0072259523 (ETA July 2007)

Thanks for all the great info!

don't forget the collection of links gathered together for this forum
http://www.valoxo.ch/jr/SCDJWS_Links.html

Also the blueprints I've been loooking at are here - seem to be different to the ones you pointed to - probably becausre they're specific to J2EE 1.4

Thanks for the replies. I was totally clueless about the wsi. That makes perfect sense now. As for those blueprints, I think both were 1.4, but it looks like the ones MW posted may be a bit more specific than what I previously found. I'll dig thorugh those and see.

So far as I can tell the CS-310-220 exam is still based on J2EE 1.4 specification. I know some major changes have come to play on 1.5, especially regarding web services and EJBs. Any idea if Sun is planning on upgrading this test?
